Avast!
Avast is in our opinion the best freeware antivirus out on the net at the moment. It provides many of the useful features that some full version antiviruses provide such as a File Shield, Web Shield, P2P Shield and many more. It comes with a free Firewall aswell. This free solution provides high detection rates with very low false positives. This is for sure a must have!

AVG
AVG is a great free solution to an Antivirus but it doesnt provide many of the useful features Avast does. It has a nice link scanner as well so when you are searching it will tell you if the site you are about to go to is a safe site or a dangerous one. It provides very fast scans and high detection rates with low false positives, making sure that you remove only real viruses and keep your computer safe.

Avira
Avira is another great free Antivirus but it doesnt provide the free aspects of Avast. Avira has very high detection rates but produces many false positives and can be a pain at times but overall its not bad for free software.

Microsoft Security Essentials
As a free virus solution this is okay. It has high detect rates and great at detecting Rootkits. And it doesn't have all the other annoying advertisements that Avira and AVG have. It can also remove lots of malware easily and very quick.
